About Kimberley Carhart, LCSW

 Kim Carhart

My path to becoming a therapist began with my own healing journey.
There was a time when I felt disconnected from myself—living for everyone else and barely recognizing who I was. As I worked through past trauma and unhealthy relationships, I began to rediscover my strength, confidence, and voice. That process changed my life, and it’s what inspired me to help others do the same.

Some of my most meaningful moments as a therapist are when a client says, “I think I’m ready to stop therapy.” Hearing that tells me they’ve found the tools, trust, and confidence to navigate life on their own. That’s always the goal.

This isn’t just my career—it’s my calling.

I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with deep roots in both clinical practice and community advocacy. I earned my Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Social Work from Monmouth University, specializing in Clinical Practice with Children and Families. My professional background includes crisis stabilization, inpatient psychiatric care, and trauma recovery for survivors of sexual assault and domestic violence. I’ve also spent years involved in community outreach and advocacy, supporting vulnerable and underserved populations.

In each session, I bring both my clinical expertise and lived experience, creating a grounded and empathetic space for healing. My approach blends Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) with a holistic perspective—focusing on the connection between mind, body, and environment. I specialize in helping clients recover from narcissistic abuse, rebuild confidence, and reconnect with their authentic selves.

At its heart, my work is about helping you feel safe, seen, and capable of creating a life that finally feels like yours.
